This original lithograph is from the Report of the State Commissioners of Fisheries for 1895, by Clarence M. Busche, State Printer of Pennsylvania. The print is clean with just a little age toning around the periphery.
This print is by Sherman F. Denton.I found the proof in the first edition of the reports and in the introduction it states, "colored plates were made by Mr. Sherman F. Denton of Wellesley, Mass., from living or fresh specimens." These prints are rarer and more colorful than (Dentons) later work (New York Fisheries Reports) that you see every day on E-bay; however, not many people know the value of these earlier works yet. Size: 9 x 6 inches. FRAME IT FOR THE KITCHEN OR DINING ROOM WALL. It is a real collector item you can keep and will increase in value and framed its called value added!
I have some more of these fish prints including Trout (SOLD), Walleye, Yellow Perch, Shad, Rock Bass, Whitefish, Check out my !
