Question: How do I list an item on offeritem.com?

Answer:
For best results, please have javascript enabled on your browser.

1. Click the "Sell" link at the top of the page.
2. You will be asked to register or sign in (if you're not already signed in).
3. Create a seller account (if you haven't already).
4. Choose a category for your item (required).
5. Click on the "Continue >" button.
6. Title (required).

Choosing a good title is very important, a good title helps buyers find your item. When choosing a title try to briefly describe your item with as many item related words as possible (we are limited to 64 characters so choose wisely). Try to use only alphanumeric characters unless otherwise required.

Example: If I were to list a men's t-shirt, I would specify the brand, style, color and size of the t-shirt in my title like this:
New Hanez Men's Red Crew Neck Short Sleeve T-Shirt Size M 38-40

7. Price (required).

Enter only numerals and the decimal point. Do not use currency symbols such as a dollar sign "$" or commas ",".

Example: Enter 5.00 into the box, do not enter US $5.00 into the box.

8. Quantity (conditional).

Enter the quantity that you have in stock. Please only enter a quantity that is greater than 1 if you have more than 1 identical item in stock.

9. Condition (recommended).

Choose the condition that best describes your item from the drop down menu.

10. Description (required).

Avoid short descriptions. Describe the item in detail and include item specific information such as UPC, MPN or ISBN if applicable.

11. UPC or VIN (conditional and optional).

Please only provide valid UPC or VIN information.

12. Click on the "Continue >" button.

13. Shipping rates, flat or calculated (conditional).

Use the radio buttons to choose between flat (shipping rates that you specify) or calculated (USPS shipping rates are determined by weight, size of package, shipping method and destination).

14. Provide the required shipping information (conditional).

15. Checkout instructions (recommended).

Information regarding payment, shipping, or other details buyers need to complete the transaction. Please do not use HTML.

16. Pictures (recommended).

You may upload up to 7 images.

Please only upload images with the following extensions: JPEG, JPG, PNG and GIF.

Example: the_name_of_your_image.JPEG, the_name_of_your_image.JPG, the_name_of_your_image.PNG or the_name_of_your_image.GIF.

The images are resized automatically to the size 600px X 600px during upload.

Click on the button that is located to the right of "Add Pictures:", in Windows Internet Explorer and Mozilla's Firefox this button is labeled as "Browse", in Apple's Safari it is labeled as "Choose File".

Locate the image on your computer, select the image and wait while the image uploads (upload times will vary, downsized images upload faster).

After uploading your image(s), you can use the "Edit" button to make changes. Please see Can I crop my images after uploading them?.

Click the "Delete" button to delete an image.

17. Select the methods of payment that apply using checkboxes.

If accepting Paypal, enter a valid email address that is associated with your Paypal account.

If accepting Google Checkout, enter a valid Google merchant ID and Google merchant key. Click Here for more information on finding your Google merchant ID and Google merchant key.

18. Return policy (recommended).

Please specify the allotted time and under what conditions. If you do not accept returns, please let the buyer know. Please do not use HTML.

19. Click the "Continue >" button to go to the preview page or the "< Back" button to modify your title, price, quantity, condition, description and UPC or VIN.

20. Preview your listing and click on the "Submit Listing >" button if you're happy with the results. Click the "< Back" button to make changes.

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your listing to become searchable by keyword.

You can edit your listing by going to: My Account > My Selling > Manage Active Listings and click on the "Edit Listing" button.

You can also edit your item by visiting your items product listing page, click the "Edit Listing" button.

Note: You cannot edit items that you have sold.

To end your item, go to: My Account > My Selling > Manage Active Listings and click on the "End Listing" button.

To sell an item that is similar, go to: My Account > My Selling > Manage Active Listings and click on the "List Similar" button. You can also list a similar item by visiting your items product listing page, product added or product revised successfully confirmation page. Look for the "List Similar >" button.
