Lite accounts are verified via email, an email will be sent containing a link to be used to confirm the email address on file with us. How do I verify an Elite account? Option 1: Verification by phone. A security code is provided via telephone, you enter this security code into our website. Verification by telephone is free of charge, automated and only takes 2-5 minutes to complete. This option is only available to sellers in the US (including Puerto Rico, US Minor Outlying Islands and Virgin Islands), Canada, Austria, Australia, United Kingdom (Great Britain) and New Zealand. This option is limited to 3 phone call attempts. Option 2: Verification by SMS text message. A security code is provided via SMS text message, you enter this security code into our website. Verification by SMS text is free of charge, automated and only takes 2-5 minutes to complete. This option is only available to sellers in the US (including Puerto Rico, US Minor Outlying Islands and Virgin Islands), Canada, Austria, Australia, United Kingdom (Great Britain) and New Zealand. This option is limited to 1 text. Option 3: Verification via Amazon Payments: By clicking the "Accept Marketplace Fee" button and agreeing to the terms and conditions specified by Amazon Payments. When you click the Accept Marketplace Fee button you're agreeing to pay us a maximum marketplace fee of 5.00% per transaction. Does this mean that Offeritem will charge me 5.00% per transaction? This depends on the sale price, please refer to the fee chart above. This option is free of any upfront charges, automated and only takes 3-20 minutes to complete. Option 4: Activating the Ebay import feature. This method of verification also allows you to quickly and easily import your Ebay items and feedback to Offeritem. Option 5 & 6: Verification via Paypal or Google Checkout. This method of verification requires a fee, this fee is currently set at $9.99 (one time fee). This option is automated and only takes 5-15 minutes to complete. How are fees paid and when are they due? Fees are to be paid via Amazon Payments, Paypal or Google Checkout. If your buyer chooses Google Checkout, Paypal or money orders, fees are due when your account balance is in excess of $4.00. If your buyer chooses Amazon Payments, fees are deducted by Amazon when an item is paid for. How are sales that never get paid for handled? If the buyer chooses Amazon Payments or Paypal during checkout, fees are charged when the buyer actually pays for the item(s). If the buyer chooses Google Checkout or money orders fees are charged prior to the buyer paying. If fees have been charged and the buyer payment hasn't been received, you may file a non-paying buyer report.
